F1 2023 Saudi Arabian GP – FP1 Results

Max Verstappen ended the first practice session from the Jeddah Corniche Circuit as the fastest driver, and was the only driver to drop into the 1:29s.

The two-time World Champion headed Sergio Perez and Aston Martin Fernando Alonso, who starred last time out in Bahrain.

The second Aston Martin driver, Lance Stroll, was fourth fastest.

Mercedes, who left the season-opening race in Bahrain dejected, was fifth and sixth with George Russell and Lewis Hamilton respectively.

Charles Leclerc ended the session in 11th and will take a 10-place grid penalty for the race due to taking on a third Control Electronics unit.
