Gabriele Mini took a stunning victory in the Formula 2 Sprint Race, making a lunge on Sebastian Montoya for the lead at the Hungarian Grand Prix weekend.
Mini bided his time behind the PREMA driver, but with the superior pace, he made the move on Montoya for the lead in the closing stages.
It was vital for the championship, as Tsolov and Montoya made contact in the final lap, with both drivers failing to finish the race. The results closed the championship lead by 11 points for Mini and left Tsolov with a potential grid drop for the Feature Race.
