The Formula 2 Championship battle continues to rage on as summer break approaches, with four drivers vying for the lead into the summer break.
Nikola Tsolov currently leads the field in the championship, 27 points ahead of Gabriele Mini in second. Tsolov has been on an astounding run of form in the previous few rounds. The Bulgarian driver sits just one victory shy of the win record in the series.
However, he is not the only driver looking to claim victory this season. Mini has managed a slew of podiums, and in Belgium, the Italian driver came back from a difficult start to finish comfortably within the points. Mini’s consistency puts him in good stead in a series which relies so heavily on luck and fortitude.
Rafa Camara and Alex Dunne both also look to challenge the front runners. Camara has returned to form over the last few weekends, claiming victory in Silverstone and Belgium to move just nine points behind Mini.
Dunne is 17 points behind the Invicta driver but is also on a good run of form, claiming consistent podiums and looking to take a spot in the top three heading into the summer break.

Track conditions
Hungary is often likened to Monaco with its winding corners and narrow nature that lacks the traditional straights. It’s nicknamed “Monaco without the walls” because of these characteristics.
It leaves drivers in a tricky situation, with overtaking difficult because they get stuck in dirty air around the technical, chained corners.
Because of this, there is a greater emphasis on qualifying, with the order in which each driver starts the race having a much more significant impact.
Equally, potential rain is forecast in the closing stages of the weekend, which may add a swell of unpredictability.
Drivers must already have a mandatory pit stop in the Feature Race, which adds a layer of strategy to the second race of the weekend, but it is the weather which will level out the field if it comes mid-session.
