Jehan Daruvala has ended the second day of post-season Formula 2 testing in Bahrain on top, having also emerged with the quickest time in Tuesday’s session.
Daruvala’s fastest lap from the day was a 1:41.686, two-tenths of a second quicker than the time he posted yesterday.
Robert Shwartzman, who will remain at Prema for a second season of F2 in 2020, was second fastest, with a lap time that was 0.136s down on Daruvala’s.
Dan Ticktum, who ended Tuesday’s session in second place, was third fastest in the second Carlin car, going narrowly faster than Liam Lawson, who was the quickest of the F3 graduates.
Ralph Boschung’s fastest lap from the morning session stood as the fifth fastest time of the day, ahead of DAMS’ Marcus Armstrong.
UNI-Virtuosi’s latest signing Felipe Drugovich was seventh, leading F2 veteran Louis Deletraz.
David Beckmann had the ninth fastest time of the day, ahead of Guilherme Samaia, who failed to score a single point across the 2020 season.
The post-season F2 test will conclude on Thursday, wrapping up all on-track F2 running in 2020 after the World Championship concluded last Sunday.
