The 2022-23 Formula E season kicks off in mid-January with the Mexico City ePrix from the Autodromo Hermanos Rodriquez.

The event will see the debut of the all-new Gen3 car.

Stoffel Vandoorne enters the year looking to defend his championship, while there are several looking to dethrone the Belgian driver.

After the season-opener from Mexico, the series travels to Saudi Arabia for the first of five double-header events this year.

India, South Africa and Brazil all follow, with all three locations hosting Formula E for the first time this year.

The second double-header will take place in Berlin toward the end of April, before the all-electric series takes to the famous streets of Monaco.

There will be a flurry of double-headers to end the season, kicking off with Indonesia at the start of June.

Portland, USA makes its debut as a single event a few weeks later, before double-header events in Rome and London finish off the campaign.

There are also a number of driver and team changes for the start of the new era of Formula E. World Champions Mercedes have departed the series and have been replaced by McLaren.

Maserati also joins the grid for the first time, formed from Venturi Racing.

Reigning World Champion Stoffel Vandoorne has switched to Penske alongside fellow title-winner Jean-Eric Vergne. Penske has formed an alliance with DS for the upcoming year.

Amid a number of drivers changing teams, there are two rookies on the grid – Jake Hughes and Sacha Fenestraz, with the latter already making his debut at the season-ending Seoul ePrix last year.
