Lewis Hamilton has said the FIA must ensure it employs “non-biased” stewards to officiate Formula 1 races, as a way to make sure penalties are applied in a fairer manner.

Stewarding has always been a hot topic in Formula 1, but last year several drivers spoke out against unfair penalties with Fernando Alonso claiming there are “different rules for different people” and that it was interesting to note “which nationality” the driver is.

Speaking on Wednesday during F1 testing in Barcelona, Hamilton said it was important the stewards decisions weren’t swayed by their friendships.

“We need to make sure we get non-biased stewards,” said the Mercedes driver.

“Race drivers, some are very, very good friends with certain individuals, some travel with certain individuals and tend to take more of a keen liking to some of them.

“I think people who have no bias and are super central when it comes to making decisions.”

Hamilton, who has pushed for greater diversity in the sport, also called for more female stewards and says it would be “great” if one of the race directors was a female.

“I want to see more women in the stewards’ room,” added Hamilton.

“I don’t think we have many, I think last year it was maybe one or two. And I think it would be awesome for them to have a male and a female as the two race directors. I think that’s a great way of promoting diversity too.”

The FIA announced last week that Michael Masi would be replaced as race director, with two individuals taking up the role.

lol, this guy just never stops does he. So they fire Masi to please Hamilton so he stays in F1, now he wants more. How much longer until he is calling for F1 to be for non-white males and females only?

Given that he’s already called Jackie Stewart and Bernie Ecclestone “ignorant”, maybe Toto ought to ensure that the team’s scriptwriters vet everything he’s going to say and tell him what he should NEVER say.

Hamilton is a toxic little turd, whose presence is a blight on Formula One, with his constant vexatious and pestiferous agitation. The sooner he departs the better for the sport.

Exactly. Lulu is a low-life pile of garbage who now races cars just to collect a paycheck, and on the side is a cosplay social activist and rapper out of boredom. The problem with commies like him is when you give them one thing, they never stop and keep demanding more until they have destroyed everything in sight, then walk away and never acknowledge it again as if it never happened. Just look at the racial supremacy terrorist organization that he so heavily backed, BLM — which has now finally been exposed for being the wealth redistribution plan it always was (amongst other things) as the leaders have all fled and have bought handfuls of multi-million dollar mansions across the globe with not one penny actually going where it was supposed to go. Where’s your BLM armband now, Lulu?
