Honda has clinched the IndyCar manufacturer’s title following the IndyCar double-header weekend at the Milwaukee Mile.
Even though Honda did not have any representation on the podium during the weekend, the engine partner had gained enough points throughout the season to clinch the title one weekend before the 2026 season finale.
It is the second consecutive and 12th overall manufacturer’s championship for Honda since joining American open wheel competition 30 years ago.

Honda earned wins at all street course events during the 2026 season, and notched victories at all track types the series visits.
It also won the prestigious Indianapolis 500 with Felix Rosenqvist, who narrowly took victory in what was the closest Indy 500 in history.
Honda’s efforts at the title were also helped by problems from Chevrolet this year, which had to replace multiple engines early due to a supplier issue affecting valves on a number of engines.
By having to replace engines ahead of schedule, those drivers stopped earning points for Chevy in the manufacturer’s race once they used up their allowed allocation.
In addition to the manufacturer’s title, Honda also powered Alex Palou to his fifth driver championship over the weekend, securing the speedy Spaniard a place among the series greats.
