Cupra Kiro has confirmed that Pepe Marti will remain with the team for the 2026/27 ABB FIA Formula E season.
The 21-year-old Spaniard enjoyed an impressive rookie campaign, finishing as the highest-placed newcomer in the Drivers’ Championship with 66 points.
Marti scored points in just his second start in Mexico, led his home race in Madrid, and claimed his first series podium at the Monaco E-Prix.
He later added a second-place finish at the Sanya E-Prix in China.
Managed by Fernando Alonso’s A14 development program, Marti becomes the first Spanish driver to stand on a Formula E podium.
Marti will now lead Kiro into the series’ new GEN4 era.
“I’m very excited to continue with CUPRA KIRO for the 2026/27 Formula E season,” Marti said.
“I’ve felt a huge amount of support and trust since joining the team, and together, I think we’ve built something really positive during my rookie year.
“To have achieved top three finishes, led races, and become the first Spanish driver to stand on the Formula E podium is something I’m very proud of, but I also feel like we’re only just getting started.”
Team Principal Russell O’Hagan praised Marti’s rapid development throughout his debut season.
“Continuing our relationship with Pepe for the 2026/27 season was a very straightforward decision,” O’Hagan said.
“Since the moment he joined the team, he has consistently impressed us with his talent, work ethic, and maturity.
“The reality is that he exceeded our expectations almost immediately and showed consistent performance across the season.”
Pre-season testing for the 2026/27 campaign begins November 16-20 at Jarama, Spain, ahead of the season opener in December.
