Meyer Shank Racing has announced that it will retain the driving services of Marcus Armstrong next season.

The New Zealand native will remain with the team for at least two more seasons, extending his stay that began in 2025.

Armstrong will also move into the team’s #60 entry, effectively filling Felix Rosenqvist’s place in the team’s primary car.

The #60 won this year’s Indianapolis 500, of course, and Armstrong will be working with a crew that has been building momentum.

“I’m proud to announce a multi-year partnership with MSR,” said Armstrong. “I want to thank Mike [Shank], Jim [Meyer], Tim [Meyer] and Helio [Castroneves] for this opportunity and for believing in me.

“I feel that Meyer Shank Racing gives me one of the strongest cars on the grid every weekend. Our goals are aligned, we want to win races and be consistently fighting at the front.

“I especially look forward to returning to the Indy 500 having unfinished business from this year.

“We still have eight races left this season and we have some strong momentum going. I’m ready more than ever to close out this season on a high note and start prepping for 2027.”

The news comes as multiple other drivers have announced their departure from their current teams.

Armstrong’s current team-mate Felix Rosenqvist was the first driver to confirm he is switching teams, followed by Scott Dixon earlier in the week.

Armstrong was thought to be a candidate for the now-vacant #9 entry at Chip Ganassi Racing, but his contract extension at MSR puts that option to rest.

MSR has not yet announced plans for the #66 entry.
