One of Formula 1’s most iconic circuits, Suzuka, will undergo renovations prior to next year’s Japanese Grand Prix.
Its flowing and fast track layout, which has several technical sections, has seen Suzuka renowned as one of the sport’s most challenging tracks.
However, before the next Japanese GP in March 2026, the track will see major upgrades.
As part of these upgrades, sections of the circuit will be resurfaced, with fresh asphalt laid across key areas of the track.
While the changes aim to improve consistency and safety, the new surface is expected to present an initial challenge for drivers due to reduced grip levels.
This lack of grip could lead to a tricky Japanese GP weekend, particularly during practice sessions, before the rubber is gradually laid down.
Importantly, this is the only change that will be made to the track ahead of the next season.
The circuit’s layout will remain the same, with its iconic Esses, Degner and Spoon curve set to challenge new and old drivers yet again, at the infamous circuit.
