Williams has announced a collaboration with comic book giants Marvel, which sees Alex Albon and Carlos Sainz turn from Formula 1 drivers to stars in its latest strip.
The Grove-based squad has enjoyed less than an indifferent start to the 2026 season, with struggles with the weight of its FW48 challenger holding back its continued fight in the midfield.
Sainz’s points finishes in China gave the team reason to still be hopeful, with work ongoing back in the UK to resolve its chassis issues ahead of this weekend’s return of F1 with the Miami Grand Prix.
But the team is no less a draw for fans and sponsors, however, and will enter into a unique partnership a little later this season.
Starting with June’s Monaco Grand Prix, Sainz, Albon and Team Principal James Vowles will come against a new foe a little different from Mercedes, Ferrari or McLaren – Doctor Doom!
The comic will also be on shelves in American from October, with the promise that “Iron Man, Black Widow, Captain America, and a host of other Marvel stars will also support the team on their mission.”
