George Russell fronted a Mercedes 1-2 during a wet final practice session at Formula 1’s British Grand Prix, holding a 0.035s margin over team-mate Lewis Hamilton.
Lando Norris, who set the pace in the opening two practice hours was third in the leading McLaren, with Carlos Sainz and Max Verstappen completing the top five.
Oscar Piastri placed sixth in the second McLaren, while Fernando Alonso posted a late attempt to move up to eighth to edge out Sergio Perez and Nico Hulkenberg.
