Red Bull Racing is scheduled to be the first team to unveil its new-for-2022 Formula 1 car after communicating a launch date for its RB18.

The squad’s RB18 is set to be presented on Wednesday (February 9), a day ahead of the unveiling of Aston Martin’s AMR22.

The RB18 will be the car with which Max Verstappen defends his Formula 1 title, having eclipsed Lewis Hamilton in last year’s controversial finale in Abu Dhabi.

Verstappen will again partner two-time race winner Sergio Perez at Red Bull.

Confirmation of the RB18’s launch date means only Williams and Haas have yet to communicate their plans for their respective 2022 unveilings.

McLaren (February 11), AlphaTauri (February 14), Ferrari (February 17), Mercedes (February 18) and Alpine (February 21) are due to launch prior to Barcelona testing.

Alfa Romeo will run its C42 during testing but will only present it in its full livery after the test on February 27.
