Bruno Mars confirmed as headline act for US GP
Bruno Mars has been confirmed as the headline act for the United States Grand Prix post-qualifying concert on Saturday at the Circuit of the Americas.
The circuit has previously hosted concerts as a way of boosting attendance and giving more value to paying spectators – a tactic which is used at a number of races on the calendar – and 2018 will be no different.
Following in the footsteps of Taylor Swift and Justin Timberlake, Mars, who is currently performing across the US with his '24K Magic' world tour, will make a stop at COTA during the race weekend, in what will be one of his last dates in the country before the tour moves to Australia, New Zealand and Asia.
The multiple Grammy award winning artist has yet to be confirmed as the headline act by the circuit itself, but on Monday his management released his final US tour dates, with COTA listed as a venue for October 20 – the Saturday of the F1 race.
