Has Red Bull hinted at 2023 F1 livery change?

Red Bull took to social media on Friday and displayed a render of an almost-all white car, but hinted at a potential change for the upcoming year.

The famous ‘Bull’ logo that is featured on the engine cover has been painted dark, having been red throughout its existence on the grid.

A caption accompanied the post, which said: ‘2023 – A blank canvas’.

However, Red Bull has history of showing off its car in alternative colours, so perhaps fans shouldn’t get too hopeful that it will unleash a new design next week.

Some of the most famous special designs that Red Bull has used in the past include the ‘Camo-Bull’, which was used during pre-season testing in 2015.

The car would ultimately go on to be its most uncompetitive challenger of the turbo-hybrid spell, and was the only car that failed to win a grand prix in the current era.

It also used a striking liveries at shakedown runs in 2018 and 2019, before returning to its traditional livery for the start of the respective seasons.

The alternate liveries have proven to be popular, with fans calling on Red Bull to retain the designs for the entirety of the year in which they have been used in pre-season outings.

Red Bull is the first team to show off its 2023 F1 car on February 3, with Haas only unveiling its 2023 livery next Tuesday.

The energy-drink backed squad enters the 2023 campaign looking to defend both titles following a dominant season last year when it took 17 grand prix victories.

Its sister team AlphaTauri will show off its new challenger on February 11th, one week after Red Bull.
