The 2021 Sahlen’s Six Hours of the Glen is under caution early on, as the WeatherTech Racing Porsche burst into flames after a handful of laps.

Cooper MacNeil was behind the wheel of the #79 Porsche 911 RSR-19 when flames appeared at the left rear of the car. MacNeil brought the car into the pitlane engulfed in flames, but was able to escape unharmed before pitlane workers were able to extinguish the flames.

At the same time, the #8 Tower Motorsport ORECA 07-Gibson came to a stop after it went off on the opening lap.

Dane Cameron currently leads the race, having seized the lead for the #60 Meyer Shank Racing Acura ARX-05 after overtaking polesitter Ricky Taylor on the first lap.
