The Tuscan Grand Prix has been red flagged after just nine laps following two collisions, which has seen six cars eliminated from the race.
A Safety Car was called for the first incident at Turn 2 on the opening lap, which saw Pierre Gasly hit Kimi Raikkonen, who made contact with Max Verstappen.
Verstappen and Gasly immediately retired with damage, whilst Raikkonen was able to continue.
McLaren’s Carlos Sainz was tagged by Lance Stroll and span, with Sebastian Vettel clipped the spinning Spaniard, dropping the German to the rear with a broken front-wing.
The Safety Car remained out until Lap 8, but carnage ensued immediately at the restart as race leader Valtteri Bottas controlled the pace at the front, only accelerating until the final second.
The midfield had however already bolted, catching others by surprise. Antonio Giovinazzi would run into the back of Kevin Magnussen, Nicholas Latifi and Carlos Sainz, with all four retiring.
The race was immediately red flagged with debris and cars littering the start/finish straight.
The order at the restart will be; Bottas, Hamilton, Leclerc, Albon, Stroll, Ricciardo, Perez, Norris, Kvyat, Ocon, Russell, Raikkonen, Vettel and Grosjean.
Update: Ocon failed to make the restart due to a brake issue, leaving just 13 cars in the race.
