Formula 1 has extended its agreement with Canadian broadcasters TSN and RDS through the 2024 season.

The respective broadcasters, part of the Bell Media corporation, have shown Formula 1 in Canada since the 1990s.

On Monday it was announced that the current deal has been lengthened to ensure Formula 1 remains on the networks until at least 2024.

Canada has two drivers on the grid courtesy of Lance Stroll (Racing Point) and Nicholas Latifi (Williams), while the country’s grand prix is held in Montreal in June.

“We are delighted to continue our partnership with Bell Media and believe that both their French and English language broadcast capabilities through RDS and TSN bring Formula 1 to a wider audience within Canada,” said Formula 1’s Director of Media Rights Ian Holmes.

“Our partnership continues to deliver impressive results with 2019 showing strong audience growth which is a very important part of our strategy to bring the excitement of F1 direct to fan.”
