Lewis Hamilton has parted ways with manager Marc Hynes, in another major change for the Brit just weeks prior to the new Formula 1 season.

The seven-time World Champion and Hynes first partnered in 2015, when he joined as Chief Executive of his Project 44 management company.

In 2021, the pair amicably parted ways, before Hynes, a former British Formula 3 Champion and touring car driver, was brought back into the fold after Hamilton made his switch to Ferrari last year.

It is thought that Hynes will take up a new position with the nascent Cadillac team, where he currently holds links via his role as a manager of its reserve driver, Zhou Guanyu.

2026 could be a make-or-break year for Lewis Hamilton

The change in structure of Hamilton’s off-track backroom team coincides with that of the ones being made within his on-track team.

Last month, Ferrari announced that his race engineer, Riccardo Adami, would leave his role to take up a new position as the Scuderia’s head of both its Academy and TPC programmes.

Bryan Bozzi, race engineer for Charles Leclerc, acted in the capacity for Hamilton at last week’s behind-closed-doors pre-season test at the Circuit de-Barcelona Catalunya.

No announcement is yet to have been made, but former McLaren engineer Cedric Michel-Grosjean is rumoured to be the frontrunner to take the position.

Hamilton has been the subject of tabloid gossip this week, after The Sun reported the 41-year-old was dating reality TV star Kim Kardashian.
