Qualifying took place in glorious conditions in Barcelona

Oscar Piastri took pole position for the Formula 1 Spanish Grand Prix at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya.

The Australian’s 1:11.546s was enough to see off team-mate Lando Norris, with Max Verstappen in third. George Russell and Lewis Hamilton were fourth and fifth, with Andrea Kimi Antonelli sixth.

Charles Leclerc was seventh, with Pierre Gasly eighth, Isack Hadjar ninth, and Fernando Alonso 10th.
