4. Thrust SSC – The fastest car ever

The Thrust SSC (Super Sonic Car) holds the title of the fastest car ever recorded, as it remains the only land vehicle to break the sound barrier. Piloted by Andy Green in 1997, the Thrust SSC reached an incredible 763 mph (1,228 km/h).
