2025 Formula 1 pre-season testing finally got underway on Wednesday at the Sakhir Circuit in Bahrain. Running is split across two sessions with a morning and afternoon run for each of the 10 teams.
The afternoon session saw 10 drivers drop into their respective machines for the first batch of running, although a power cut sliced an hour out of proceedings as night fell.

McLaren’s Lando Norris ended the day quickest, 0.157s quicker than Mercedes’ George Russell with reigning champion Max Verstappen third for Red Bull.
Both Mercedes and Red Bull featured all of their cars inside the top-10, with Andrea Kimi Antonelli and Liam Lawson seventh and eighth respectively.
The Williams duo also sneaked their collective way inside the top-10 with Carlos Sainz fifth and Alex Albon ninth.
Charles Leclerc wound his Ferrari into fourth with Alpine’s Pierre Gasly Sixth and Racing Bulls’ Yuki Tsunoda rounding out the top-10.
