Richard Verschoor set the fastest lap in Group A with a 1:21.283s to secure the Formula 2 pole position in Monaco, with Victor Martins slotting behind in second.

The Group A qualifying session saw Verschoor edge out Isack Hadjar to claim top spot, while Group B was disrupted with a red flag as Martins beat Roman Stanek.

The session was split into two groups determined by even-numbered and odd-numbered cars, allowing alternating times across each group to fill the starting grid.

An aggregated result from both qualifying groups determined the grid order for both races this weekend, with the overall fastest driver starting the Feature on pole.

Expecting a 20% chance of rain, the split qualifying session had 16-minute stints for each group.

Trident driver Verschoor started the first flying lap of Group A, engaging in an early three-way battle with Ritomo Miyata and Zak O’Sullivan for the fastest laps.

Setting purples across all three sectors, O’Sullivan put himself on provisional pole for ART Grand Prix, as Hadjar tailed half a second behind in second position.

Antonelli found himself in fifth halfway through the session, looking for a top-five finish to secure the reverse-grid pole position for the Sprint Race and a top-10 start in the Feature Race.

Gabriel Bortoleto has experienced a great start to the season and placed his Invicta Racing car in the provisional pole position before O’Sullivan snatched the place back.

A brief yellow flag was called as the rookie Ritomo Miyata stalled in the tunnel and was almost hit by Hadjar.

In the final three minutes of Group A’s qualifying session, Verschoor earned the provisional pole position with a 1:21.283s while Bortoleto grazed the wall in Sector 2.

Antonelli suffered from a slow lap and fell to the bottom of the grid before climbing up to fourth in the final moments of the session.

Franco Colapinto picked up the pace and secured a third-placed position ahead of Bortoleto after his error cost him the potential pole and left him in fifth place.

Enzo Fittipaldi secured the sixth-placed position ahead of Juan Manuel Correa and O’Sullivan in Group A qualifying.

Group B set out for the 16-minute qualifying session with the odd-numbered cars such as the top two Championship leaders Zane Maloney and Paul Aron.

The Championship leader set the first fastest time of Group B’s qualifying session before the session was cut short as Rafael Villagomez clattered the barrier speeding out of Turn 1.

Red flags were waved as debris from the Vans Amersfoort Racing car halted the session just six minutes in.

The session was resumed shortly and Martins was the first of the Group B drivers to set the fastest lap with a 1:22.690s.

Ferrari Academy Driver Oliver Bearman set personal best sectors during his flying lap to put himself in third behind Martins and Stanek.

With five minutes to go, Dennis Hauger and Kush Maini engaged in a one-lap battle as Hauger held up the Indian driver during a flying lap.

Maini briefly put his Invicta Racing car in second before Maloney snatched the position back.

In the final three minutes, Stanek earned the fastest time with a 1:21.466 and a potential front-row lockup for Trident.

The Group B leader will be investigated for impeding at Turn 17 alongside Hauger, as the two lead the Group B qualifying.

A brief yellow flag forced the drivers to abandon their laps, leaving Stanek at the top of the table in the last moments of the session.

Martins stole the pole position from Stanek with a stunning 1:21.310s, leaving Verschoor with the overall fastest time in F2 qualifying.

The 23-year-old earned his maiden pole position, beating out Aron to the Group B fastest time.

Stanek finished ahead of Hauger and Taylor Barnard, as Bearman fell to sixth after the yellow flag interrupted his final flying lap.

The current Championship leader Maloney dropped to the seventh row after dominating the session early on but qualified ahead of Maini and Crawford.
