Isack Hadjar has been summoned before the FIA stewards over an alleged paddock misconduct incident at the Formula 1 Mexico City Grand Prix.
Hadjar found himself in hot water with the stewards on Friday, as they summoned him to answer to alleged misconduct in the paddock.
He is alleged to have breached Article 12.2.1.l of the FIA International Sporting Code, which covers “any misconduct”, including “the general use of language (written or verbal), gesture and/or sign that is offensive, insulting, coarse, rude or abusive”.
The summons does not detail the specifics of the incident but, footage on social media shows the Frenchman involved in an altercation with a VIP while walking through the paddock.
The video shows a fan attempting get a picture with Hadjar while he walked through the paddock with his EarPods in. Hadjar indicated he did not want to partake in this, but the fan continued to ask, resulting in Hadjar pushing him out of the way.
Penalties for breaching Article 12.2.1.l include fines of €5,000, which can rise to €20,000 for more serious cases.

F1 paddock “like a zoo”
F1’s growing popularity has seen the paddock flood with fans and VIP’s alike in recent years, with Hadjar’s teammate Max Verstappen revealing the extent of guest intrusion.
“It’s like a zoo. It is often no longer possible to have a chat with someone. That’s not really possible anymore. So I mainly live from my room to the garage and the pit lane,”he said to De Telegraaf in Singapore.
“Even in our own hospitality rooms, there are many guests who want something from you. Of course they mean well, but I also need to be able to rest without being bothered all the time.
“I know it’s part of it. And that, the more you perform and the more you’ve achieved, the more people want you to be. In that respect, it is also a good thing.”
Hadjar will speak to the stewards at 10:15am local time on Saturday to learn what triggered the summons and learn his fate.
