F1 Academy has announced that Alexia Danielsson and Zoe Florescu will take part in the this year’s Rookie Test, held in Spain.
Alexia Danielsson and Zoe Florescu are set to participate in the 2026 F1 Academy Rookie Test at Circuito de Navarra in September. Given the success of last year’s test, F1 Academy have decided to bring it back again this year.
F1 Academy watchers are familiar with Florescu, as the Romanian was the Wild Card driver for the F1 Academy Dutch GP. Despite not grabbing any points, the Hitech driver impressed during her time at Zandvoort. She finished her first qualifying session in seventh place, but was later disqualified for a breach of the Technical Regulations.
Danielsson is a new force to be reckoned with. The Swedish driver competes in the F4 Cez Championship and is an F4 development driver for More Than Equal.
Moreover, 18 drivers who possess immense potential for a future in F1 Academy have been selected for the Rookie Test.
In addition to the Rookie Test, the drivers are to join the Rookie Training Camp. The Rookie Training Camp is a new concept developed in partnership with Loughborough University. The Training Camp will take place over three days in August, ahead of the test.
