Maranello’s operational harmony has reached an all-time high, prompting Lewis Hamilton to call for a final push from Ferrari personnel to overhaul Mercedes in the championship fight.

The seven-time World Champion spearheads Ferrari’s title challenge, holding second place in the Drivers’ Standings and trailing current leader Kimi Antonelli by 50 points.

Over in the Constructors’ standings, the Italian squad remains 72 points adrift of Mercedes, though superior reliability could favour Ferrari given recent engine trouble at Mercedes.

Ferrari has not tasted championship glory since taking the Constructors’ title in 2008, while Kimi Raikkonen stands as their last Drivers’ Champion from 2007.

Despite that long-standing drought, Hamilton feels the current squad is now fully aligned for a breakthrough.

Speaking to media the Briton reflected on the foundation established during his opening months with the Scuderia.

“It has been a great first part of the season; it’s good, but of course, it could be better,” Hamilton stated.

“But I think there has been a real positive feeling; the harmony between myself and my personal team, and the racing team is better than it’s ever been.

“It’s taken us a good year to get to know each other, and we’re more aligned than ever, and I think it is a really good foundation for us to build on moving forward.”

Following his milestone victory at the Spanish GP and four further podiums, Hamilton remains focused on channeling the passion of the Ferrari workforce into raw performance.

“There is still a huge amount of work to do, and improvements we need to make in terms of, like, galvanising the troops, who are all so passionate,” Hamilton continued.

“At the factory, I’ve never seen a love for a team like it, and a passion for the team, and it is just about directing that and steering it in the right direction.”

With 12 rounds remaining starting at Zandvoort, Hamilton’s ability to unite and direct Ferrari’s factory talent could determine whether the team finally ends its 18-year title wait.
