Tom Chilton took his first British Touring Car Championship victory of 2026 in a traditionally feisty Race 3 at Knockhill.

Ash Sutton drew the unlucky 12 after his Race 2 success, meaning he started P12, leaving Tom Chilton to inherit pole position. The NAPA Racing UK trio of Lewis Selby, Sam Osborne, and Dan Cammish started behind, with the Cataclean Plato Racing pair of Adam Morgan and Dan Rowbottom P8 and P11.

Starting on the soft compound, unlike most, Chilton used his pace advantage to sprint away through Duffus Dip as the lights went out. Also starting on the soft, Gordon Shedden suffered a nightmare start with a puncture causing his car to crab heavily.

Adam Morgan, Ricky Collard, Sutton, and Rowbottom all gained through the opening tour, occupying the places from P7 to P10 – though Morgan would get by Charles Rainford at the end of lap 2.

Cammish got by Osborne on the third entry to Taylor’s Hairpin for P3, with little fight between the NAPA Racing teammates. Two laps later, Osborne found himself out of contention and in the gravel – although he could keep his Ford Focus going before a safety car was required.

The purple Plato Racing Mercedes of Morgan gained one automatically as a result, and then got by Dexter Patterson as he dealt with avoiding the ailing #77. Continuing his charge, he managed to get by Cammish three laps later, before going around the outside of Selby at Taylor’s Hairpin for P2.

Selby started to fall as he fought for his best BTCC result, with Patterson and Charles Rainford taking P4 and P5 on lap 10.

Despite starting P12, Sutton found himself falling down the order as a mid-pack scrap saw the Power Maxed Racing pair of Mikey Doble and Aiden Moffat get by, and a tasty battle with the Restart Racing squad commence.

Selby’s lack of pace would continue to be highlighted as he had fallen down to P12 by lap 19, with the hard-charging Ingram taking P11 as he chased any kind of recovery to a dismal day.

With three to go, the order between Chilton, Morgan, and Cammish remained unchanged at the top, with Patterson, Rainford, and a climbing Daryl De Leon following behind.

And at the flag, it was Chilton who took his first victory since Donington Park GP in 2025, while Morgan collected another podium for Plato Racing and Cammish finished on the third step.
