Lewis Hamilton and Isack Hadjar have been made to sweat after both men were summoned to the stewards for potential infringements during the Formula 1 Monaco Grand Prix.
The Brit and the Frenchman finished second and third respectively, behind race-winner, Andrea Kimi Antonelli.
However, there was an air of doubt that both men would face potentially-race-changing penalties for a variety of reasons.
Both were investigated for Safety Car infringements, with Hadjar also collecting another for his Red Bull being altered during the red flag period, prompting the team to halt its work and revert the car back to its original state.
With both men cleared of the first offence, Hadjar was left to wait for the outcome of the second, but the team was subsequently cleared.
“The Stewards heard from the team representatives and the FIA Technical Delegate, and reviewed photo evidence,” the FIA’s official document read.
“The team were reported as attempting to change spark plugs/coils but did not proceed with the change and the car started in the same condition as it arrived in the pits, therefore no further action is taken.”
The outcome ensures Hadjar’s first-ever podium as a Red Bull driver, with Hamilton moving into second place in the Drivers’ Championship.
