The FIA has announced that a meeting between Formula 1, its Team Principals and representatives of power unit manufacturers has resulted in an agreement in principle to introduce “further evolutionary changes” to hardware components.
In a statement, the sport’s governing body confirmed that, following a meeting that took place on Friday, which centred around an evaluation of the “refinements” to the maligned new technical regulations that was introduced at last weekend’s Miami Grand Prix.
A statement from the FIA read: “Evaluation of the Miami package is ongoing with a view to the introduction of further adjustments at future events.
“These include improved start-safety revisions and measures to improve safety under wet conditions. These will be communicated to teams once defined.
“Improvements to the visual-signalling measures are being evaluated for the Canadian Grand Prix.”
