Lando Norris has been named as one of the 100 Most Influential People of 2026 by TIME Magazine, placing himself alongside huge world figures, such as US President Donald Trump.
The reigning Formula 1 World Champion has seen his stock rise since clinching the title at the final round of the 2025 season in Abu Dhabi.
Norris overhauled a 34-point deficit in August to overhaul McLaren teammate Oscar Piastri, as well as fighting off the challenge of a resurgent Max Verstappen.
The TIME 100 list is often dominated by people from the world of politics, such as President Trump, who features alongside the likes of Pope Leo and various big names from culture and entertainment.
Norris takes his place in the ‘Innovators’ section of the list, and like all the other 99 who featured, their story is written about by another known figure who knows them personally.

In Norris’ case, it was American businesswoman and celebrity, Paris Hilton, who praised Norris’ ability to not change regardless of his increasing status across the world.
“I first met Lando Norris at F1 Miami, and I instantly loved his energy,” she wrote.
“He’s obviously incredibly talented, but what really makes him stand out is how kind, genuine, and down-to-earth he is.
“Even with all the pressure of the spotlight, he stays grounded, which is rare.
“Watching him become world champion in 2025 was honestly amazing – so well deserved, and such a major moment.
“I’ve also seen him with fans at races, and it’s very special. He takes the time to connect with everyone, and you can tell it truly means something to him.
“He’s so fun, warm, and approachable. I love that he’s inspiring so many people by showing that you can work hard, reach the top, and still stay completely true to yourself.”
Norris’ often charming demeanour and resilient nature, having overcome psychological difficulties at the start of his title-winning season, has shown that he rightly takes his place amongst the elite as a sportsman who has remained grounded and authentic amid his champion status.
