Lewis Hamilton has been left out of the Formula 1 bosses’ top-10 drivers’ list after a dismal debut season with Ferrari in 2025.
After making a shock, and a highly anticipated move to the Maranello-based team at the start of the 2025 campaign, Hamilton signed off his maiden season with Ferrari miserably.
Winless and without a Grand Prix podium to his name for the first time in his F1 career, the seven-time World Champion ended up sixth in the Drivers’ standings after 24 rounds.
That said, when it came to the team principals picking their own top-10, Hamilton resoundingly fell short of making the cut.
The list, featured on F1’s official website, sees Hamilton omitted when compiling the scores assigned by the 10 team bosses to drivers across the campaign.
Sifting through all their answers, drivers were then handed points according to the current F1 points-scoring system. Max Verstappen took the top spot for a second consecutive year.
The 28-year-old mounted a mighty comeback, clawing back a 104-point deficit after the Dutch GP to just two points as the chequered flag fell at the season finale in Abu Dhabi.
2025 F1 Champion, Lando Norris slotted in behind the Dutchman with team-mate Oscar Piastri coming in third – equalling his actual championship position.
Carlos Sainz, the man Hamilton replaced at Ferrari, also featured on the list, albeit one rank down in sixth as compared to his 2024 score.
Two rookies, in the form of Oliver Bearman and newly-crowned podium-sitter Isack Hadjar, also found their way into the top-10 rankings.
The final ranking is as below:
| Ranking | Driver | v/s 2024 |
|---|---|---|
| 1. | Max Verstappen | = |
| 2. | Lando Norris | = |
| 3. | Oscar Piastri | + 1 |
| 4. | Geroge Russell | + 2 |
| 5. | Fernando Alonso | + 4 |
| 6. | Carlos Sainz | – 1 |
| 7. | Charles Leclerc | – 4 |
| 8. | Oliver Bearman | Rookie |
| 9.. | Isack Hadjar | Rookie |
| 10. | Nico Hulkenberg | – 2 |
