Williams is set to rebrand for the 2026 F1 season

Williams has announced a major rebranding of the team, which will take effect in January 2026, teasing that it will be a nod to its Formula 1 heritage.

The Grove-based squad has enjoyed a resurgence in 2025, scoring more points than it has in years, with Alex Albon and Carlos Sainz producing a myriad of impressive performances.

Sainz also claimed the team’s first podium in four years, emphasising its progress as it looks to finish highest of the midfield teams with just four rounds of the championship left.

2025 saw the introduction of Australian-American software company Atlassian as its new leading sponsor, which comes into the focus of its rebrand.

On its social media, with an accompanying video full of throwbacks of successful historical moments, Williams said: “Inspired by our past, confident about our future, and clear about our identity.

From January 2026, we will become Atlassian Williams F1 Team and unveil an all-new logo to go with it.”

Despite the sale of the team by the Williams family to Dorilton Capital in 2020, the identity of the team has appeared to still feel connected to its past, and the rebrand further emphasis this.

The current ‘W’ logo will be replaced by a modern take on its original italic logo that adorned the cars its in heyday, when led by legendary founder, Sir Frank Williams.

“I am proud that from next year we will be known as Atlassian Williams F1 Team and carry a logo on our car inspired by our founder Sir Frank Williams and deeply connected with our decades of success,” said current Team Principal James Vowles.

“As a team we are inspired by our past but excited about our future and committed to writing a new Championship-winning chapter in Williams’ history.

“This evolved team identity reflects who we are, where we are going, and reintroduces our title-winning legacy to a growing F1 audience that was not following the sport when we were last dominant.”
