World Wide Technology Raceway was the site of qualifying on Saturday afternoon, with 27 IndyCar drivers tackling the 1.25-mile course.
Each driver was allowed to take the track on their own, with the average of two flying laps setting the starting grid.
Just as it was in the earlier practice session, Team Penske was the star of the show.

Scott McLaughlin looked to have the front position locked in when he averaged 179.783 MPH across his two laps, but his advantage did not last long.
His Team Penske team-mate Will Power bested his speed and logged the only run averaging over 180 MPH.
Power completed his two laps in 49.9088 seconds, earning pole and setting a time that was a full tenth of a second faster than last year’s pole time.
It was the 71st IndyCar pole for Power, extending his already record-holding number that places him among the series’ elite.
McLaughlin was second and the final Team Penske driver Josef Newgarden was right up there as well, and earned the fifth starting position.
Only two drivers were among the Penske trio, with Pato O’Ward earning the third starting position.
The only other driver in the mix was AJ Foyt Racing’s David Malukas, who has loved this track going back to his IndyNXT days and earned a spot on the second row of the grid.
In all, five Chevrolet drivers filled the top five spots of the grid. The marque has yet to win a race this season, and looks to have a good shot this weekend if qualifying is anything to go by.
And the rest
Championship leader Alex Palou will start Sunday’s race from the fifth row, as will the only other winner of the 2025 season Kyle Kirkwood.
The veteran of the series Scott Dixon will start just behind on the sixth row in his #9 Chip Ganassi Racing Honda.

The 2025 rookie class struggled a bit, with Louis Foster’s 21st grid position the best of the three.
Robert Schwartzman and Jacob Abel will fill out the 24th and 27th starting positions respectively.
There were no incidents during the session, with all drivers keeping their cars out of the walls and out of trouble in general.
The 260-lap race takes place Sunday evening at 7:00 PM central time and will run into the nighttime hours.
