Haas has revived an original livery to celebrate 200 races

Haas has announced that it is reviving the livery that it ran in its inaugural Formula 1 season to celebrate the team’s 200th race at this weekend’s Canadian Grand Prix.

The Kannapolis-based squad, which will remain the newest team on the grid until Cadillac’s arrival in 2026, has completed 199 races to date during its 10-year history.

To commemorate the occasion, Haas will revert to the design scheme that the side debuted with in Australia in 2016, when Romain Grosjean drove the VF-16 to sixth.

The Frenchman bettered that result next time out in Bahrain as he ended up inside the top five, Haas’ best finish until Grosjean claimed fourth place in Austria in 2018.

That result contributed to Haas achieving its best-ever placing in the Constructors’ Championship as it took fifth place behind Mercedes, Ferrari, Red Bull and Renault.

Haas came close to matching that in the previous campaign, but the team lost out over the last two races to a resurgent Alpine and had to settle for an eventual sixth.

However, the American outfit’s high point remains Kevin Magnussen securing both his and the team’s maiden pole position at the 2022 Sao Paulo Grand Prix in Brazil.

Magnussen managed that upon his return to the team, though his second stint with Haas came to an end amid the decision to go for an all-new driver line-up in 2025.

The experienced Esteban Ocon has since slotted in alongside rookie Oliver Bearman, with the two combining to have Haas seventh overall with nine races completed.
