McLaren’s Oscar Piastri claims pole position for the 2025 Formula 1 Emilia-Romagna Grand Prix after topping the timing sheets with a 1:14.670s.

Max Verstappen qualified on the front row behind the Australian driver, with George Russell taking third in the Mercedes.

Lando Norris ended up in fourth and Fernando Alonso with a superb fifth-place result for Aston Martin.

The Williams pair of Carlos Sainz and Alex Albon then followed in sixth and seventh place.

Both Ferraris were knocked out in Q2, as well as home favourite Andrea Kimi Antonelli for Mercedes.

Red Bull driver Yuki Tsunoda lost control through Turns 5 and 6, crashing into the barriers and ending his qualifying early.
