Antonio Giovinazzi and Dries Vanthoor topped the timesheets in the second free practice session for the FIA World Endurance Championship’s 6 Hours of Imola.

Unusually, both Giovinazzi and D. Vanthoor set the same la`ptime — 1:31.040 — in their #51 Ferrari 499P and #15 BMW M Hybrid V8 respectively. Giovinazzi, though, was officially top of the timesheets as he set his lap first, lap 4 compared to D. Vanthoor’s a lap later.

Third was Mick Schumacher in the #36 Alpine A424, almost a quarter of a second off the leading pair. Fourth was Giovinazzi’s teammate, Antonio Fuoco, in the #50 Ferrari, 0.354 off his countryman.

Fifth was Robin Frijns in the sister #20 BMW, another tenth and a bit off Fuoco ahead.
