Aston Martin has changed its F1 testing run plan for Friday with Lance Stroll feeling unwell

Aston Martin has announced that Lance Stroll will not be driving as planned on the third morning of Formula 1 pre-season testing in Bahrain as he is feeling unwell.

Stroll was scheduled to drive Aston Martin’s AMR25 to start the final day of testing prior to team-mate Fernando Alonso taking over to conclude the team’s pre-season running.

However, the Spaniard will now be driving in the morning session, with the Silverstone-based squad to make a call on who will be driving past the lunch break at a later time.

“Overnight Lance wasn’t feeling 100%,” Aston Martin said. “Fernando will now drive the car this morning and we’ll confirm our line-up for this afternoon in due course.”

Aston Martin soon communicated that Stroll would be fit enough to drive and would be at the wheel of Aston Martin’s 2025 challenger in the afternoon/evening session.

“Lance is returning to the cockpit this afternoon to conclude the test for the team,” Aston Martin stated.
