Sauber has unveiled a special livery for the upcoming Formula 1 Las Vegas Grand Prix, leaning into flame motifs.
Designed and developed in collaboration with title partner Stake, an online casino and sports betting platform, the livery features green flames emblazoned upon the C44 machine, resembling a Hot Wheels scale model.
As per the team’s official press release, the flames are “a symbol of the team’s unwavering spirit: this team doesn’t give up until the very end, no matter what challenges are thrown in front of it: just as flames flicker and blaze without ceasing, our fiery determination burns bright across every lap.”
Sauber needs to conjure as much spirit as possible for the remaining triple-header to close out the 2024 F1 campaign.
It currently languishes at the foot of the F1 Constructors’ standings with zero points.

“Stake has always helped us create some impressive one-off designs and this is no different.
“Our special livery for Las Vegas is more than just a design – it’s a representation of our team’s ethos and of Stake’s philosophy.
“We push forward with relentless passion, just as this city does, and we’re excited to showcase our fiery spirit on one of the most thrilling stages in motorsport.
“Stake has supported us throughout the season and, just as they backed this ambitious livery design, they will further back us in one of the most special of races of the season.”
In addition to sporting a special livery in Las Vegas, Sauber’s outgoing drivers Zhou Guanyu and Valtteri Bottas will wear updated race overalls.
Moreover, the team’s garage will feature the flame motif.
It is expected that multiple teams will sport special liveries in Las Vegas this weekend, as they did last year for the inaugural event.
For instance, Sauber, in its final year in partnership with Alfa Romeo, sported a casino-inspired design.
