Red Bull driver Max Verstappen clocked the quickest time during Sprint Qualifying to claim pole position for tomorrow’s Sprint race at Formula 1’s Austrian Grand Prix.
The Dutchman posted a 1:04.686s in SQ3 to extend his unbeaten run over a single lap at the Red Bull Ring, with Lando Norris ending up 0.093s behind in the McLaren.
McLaren team-mate Oscar Piastri was third, with Ferrari’s Carlos Sainz splitting the two Mercedes drivers as George Russell headed Lewis Hamilton in sixth position.
Sergio Perez languished seventh in the second Red Bull, while the Alpine duo also advanced through into Q3 and capitalised on Charles Leclerc not setting a lap time.
