The first day of Formula 1 pre-season testing came to a close on Wednesday afternoon, as day made way for night in Bahrain.
Red Bull’s Max Verstappen clocked 142 laps over a full day’s running in the RB20 across both four-hour sessions, finishing over a second clear of the opposition on the timesheet.
The Sakhir International circuit afforded a true glimpse at 2024 F1 machinery, in the light of day, the ambient glow of sunset and the floodlit extravaganza of night.
