Rodin Carlin has announced its first Formula 3 driver for the 2024 campaign, 17-year-old Callum Voisin.

Voisin is already well acquainted with the Rodin Carlin set-up, coming off the back of a successful GB3 campaign with the team, which saw him crowned champion.

The Swiss-born British teenager is a BRDC superstar and claimed six pole positions, two wins and eleven podiums en route to claiming the 2023 GB3 Drivers’ Championship.

Voisin’s title-winning campaign came on the back of an impressive rookie season in the GB3 series in 2022, where he claimed three wins, six podiums and five pole positions, taking fourth in the standings during his first year of single-seater racing.

Voisin’s fledgling single-seater career and karting days were separated by a 2021 campaign in the Michelin Ginetta Junior Championship, where he finished sixth overall with seven wins, 11 podiums and three pole positions.

The Swiss/Brit is clearly a fast learner and his third year of single-seater racing will be a steep learning curve on Formula 3’s world stage.

“I am absolutely thrilled to be staying with Rodin Carlin for the 2024 FIA F3 season,” Voisin said.

“It is a dream of mine to race alongside the Formula 1 stage, so I can’t wait to get started with pre-season testing in Bahrain.

“There is plenty for me to learn, not least new tracks and a different car.

“I am immensely grateful to Rodin Carlin, RDA and Edge management for making this possible.”

Rodin Carlin’s F3 Team Manager Sam Waple added, “I’m so pleased that Callum will be joining our FIA F3 team for the upcoming season.

“Callum has been part of the wider Rodin Carlin team for the past two seasons so being able to build on that strong working relationship is something I’m incredibly happy we can continue.

“Despite the learning curve ahead, I have no doubt that Callum will be a huge asset to the team following what was a brilliant GB3 Championship winning campaign.”

Voisin has already been getting to grips with the FIA F3 car, taking part in post-season testing with Rodin Carlin at Jerez, Barcelona and Imola and will return to action at the 2024 pre-season test in Bahrain next month, before the 10-round campaign gets underway in Sakhir on February 29 to March 2.
