Raul Fernandez has confirmed he will remain with the Trackhouse MotoGP team after signing a two-year contract extension.
Fernandez joined the satellite Aprilia team in 2023 when it was known as RNF MotoGP team, and remained with the team after its acquisition by the Trackhouse Entertainment Group.
The Spanish rider has continued to improve year-on-year with the team, taking both his and Trackhouse’s first MotoGP victory at the Australian Grand Prix last year.
He has continued this form into 2026 and picked up three sprint podiums on a rapidly improving Aprilia, including two victories at Mugello and Assen – the latter of which came in a historic weekend that saw Trackhouse clinch 1-2 finishes in both the sprint and main race.
Now it has officially been confirmed that the Spaniard will remain with the team going into the new regulations cycle after signing a contract for the 2027 and 2028 seasons.
It is expected that Enea Bastianini will be announced as Fernandez’s new team-mate after it was confirmed that Ai Ogura will join Yamaha next year.
“We at Trackhouse are thrilled to announce that Raul Fernandez will stay with the team for the next two seasons,” said Justin Marks, Owner of the Trackhouse Entertainment Group, in a press release.
“Since the beginning of this team’s journey, Raul has been fully committed to our mission and objectives. He has grown as a rider both on the bike and with his preparation, approach, and maturity.
“We believe that this team and these bikes are poised to be a consistent championship threat in the years to come and that Raul can help carry us to great heights in this sport.”
