Carlos Sainz ended the second practice session from the Marina Bay Circuit as the fastest driver, leading team-mate Charles Leclerc by two-tenths of a second.
Championship leader Max Verstappen was fourth fastest, setting his fastest lap in the dying minutes of the session.
George Russell was the quickest Mercedes driver in third, ahead of Lewis Hamilton in fifth.
Despite hitting the wall in FP1, Lance Stroll once again finished inside the top 10, as he did in the earlier session from Singapore.
