Qualifying at the Nurburgring for the next round of the DTM championship has been called off due to fog.
This means the grid race race 1 later today will be decided by championship order, putting Mirko Bortolotti on pole, followed by Sheldon van der Linde and Rene Rast.
Race director Scot Elkins announced to the teams that ‘track conditions are not suitable for track activity’ prior to qualifying, before cancelling the session for both the main DTM series and the DTM support series, DTM Trophy.
Race control plans to resume track activity when the inclement weather has cleared. The teams are being updated every 30 minutes.
