Bourdais passes Nasr to lead Petit Le Mans after two hours

Sebastien Bourdais leads Motul Petit Le Mans after two hours of racing thanks to a strong pass on Whelen Engineering’s Felipe Nasr.

The French veteran had vaulted up to second place during a round of pitstops under caution for debris early in the second hour.

The #5 Mustang Sampling Cadillac DPi-VR then took the lead with a strong pass up the inside at turn one.

Bourdais continues to lead ahead of Nasr, with the #01 Chip Ganassi Racing Cadillac DPi-VR of Renger van der Zande third. Filipe Albuquerque holds fourth for Wayne Taylor Racing.

Tristan Nunez currently leads LMP2 in the #11 WIN Autosport ORECA 07-Gibson from John Farano in the #8 Tower Motorsport ORECA.

Ben Keating had led the race for much of theo pening phase, but a slow pitstop and contact with an LMP3 has dropped the #52 PR1/Mathiasen Motorsports to third in class.

Niklas Kruetten leads LMP3 for United Autosports, ahead of the #54 CORE Autosport Ligier of Jon Bennett.

In GTLM, Corvette holds a one two. Nick Tandy currently holds the lead in the #4 Corvette C8.R, having jumped team-mate Antonio Garcia in the pits after an early stop under caution. Augusto Farfus holds third in the #24 BMW M8 GTE.

The #97 WeatherTechRacing Porsche 911 RSR-19, one of the contenders for the class win, has fallen away when Fred Makowiecki suffered a rear puncture following contact with an LMP3 runners.

Kyle Kirkwood leads GTD in the #14 Vasser Sullivan Racing Lexus RC F GT3. Aidan Read is second in the #96 Turner Motorsports BMW M6 GT3, with Frankie Montecalvo third in the sister Lexus.

Paul Miller Racing, one of the championship contenders and an early leaders in GTD, has suffered delays after damage for the #1 Lamborghini Huracan GT3 Evo following contact with Forty7 Motorsports’ Duqueine.
