Season 3 of Formula 1’s documentary series ‘Drive to Survive’ will arrive on Netflix on March 19, one week prior to the start of the 2021 season in Bahrain.
The third installment will once again consist of 10 episodes, as was the case with the first two seasons that were released in 2019 and 2020.
The series, which is a Netflix original, gives a film crew unique access to follow and capture storylines from the paddock throughout the year.
F1 faced a season like no other in 2020, beginning with the challenge of safely navigating the season amid the Covid-19 pandemic, which heavily disrupted the original racing calendar.
Lewis Hamilton went on to claim the record for the most grand prix victories, as well as match Michael Schumacher’s seven World Championships, while in Bahrain, Romain Grosjean suffered one of the most frightening crashes for some time.
‘Drive to Survive’ has proven to be a success among current fans, while also attracting new viewers to the sport.
The series is executive-produced by Academy-Award winner James Gay Rees, who also worked on the ‘Senna’ documentary, and Paul Martin for Box to Box films.
