During these unprecedented times, McLaren, as part of the Ventilator Challenge UK consortium – a collective of UK major manufacturing, medical and specialist tech and manufacturing companies including UK-based Formula 1 teams – has been working hard to help answer the national need for additional ventilators in response to the COVID-19 crisis. McLaren has been focused on component manufacturing for a ventilator based on existing technologies and is additionally deploying planning, project management and purchasing teams to procure all parts to help ramp-up production. The contribution is a joint effort from across McLaren Group including McLaren Racing, McLaren Automotive and McLaren Applied.
