Formula E has announced the next round of the 2015/2016 season, the Mexico ePrix, will be streamed live online in the United Kingdom.
The races are usually broadcast live on the free-to-air ITV4 channel, but a modification to the calendar pushed the Mexico City event forward to the 12 March.
This means it now clashes with the World Grand Prix Snooker semi-final. ITV4 will show the full race, but on delay, with coverage starting from 11:15pm.
Highlights of the ePrix will then be broadcast on Sunday 13 March at 9:25am, as has been the case with previous rounds of the championship.
Formula E fans in the UK will be able to watch the Mexico ePrix live via YouTube and Dailymotion feeds, as well as through the series’ app and website.
“While it is very unfortunate that the scheduling clash means the Mexico race will not be shown live on television in the UK, this does give us the opportunity to stream the race live on the internet and opens up the opportunity for a whole new audience to experience the thrill of Formula E,” said Ali Russell, director of media and communications at Formula E.
