Lewis Hamilton says his teammate, Jenson Button, has done a better job than he has at McLaren this year, in almost every race.
The 2008-champion hasn’t had the best of seasons, despite two race wins he sits fifth in the championship, thanks to some questionable tactics which have seen him be penalised more than anyone else.
Button has also won two races, but has managed to finish on the podium eight times, compared to Hamilton’s four, which has seen the 2009-champion, in his second year with McLaren, score 17 more points, putting him second.
“I think for me now it’s just time to find my ground and improve on the results that we’ve had in the last four races,” Hamilton told Reuters whilst on a promotional trip to India.
“Jenson’s done an incredible job… I feel he’s done a better job all season, really,” he added. “So even if I did a better job in the next five races it doesn’t mean a lot to me. I mean, it’s through a whole year.”
