Robert Kubica has been discharged from hospital following a horrific rally accident almost three months ago.
Local news in the Pietra Ligure area, where the hospital which has been treating him is based, are reporting that he left hospital on Saturday evening and he will return home to Monaco for further rest and rehabilitation.
“Robert Kubica is no longer at the Santa Corona Hospital in Pietra Ligure,” news outlet IVG.it reported. “His condition is good and the driver will be able to begin a new rehabilitation phase outside of the hospital.
“He will continue to be monitored by the Santa Corona doctors who had him in their care through scheduled appointments.”
The Pole revealed in a Q&A that he will return to Italy after some time in Monaco to continue a ‘deep rehabilitation program’.
“As soon as I leave hospital, I’ll head to my home in Monaco for a short period of rest.
“Then I’ll move to Dr. Ceccarelli’s facilities in Italy where I will start a deep rehabilitation program and a preliminary soft training programme. The two programmes will gradually cross over based on the speed of my recovery.”
